Proud of the guys tonight 100% improvement on last night No 50 top man again One thing is for sure If this squad is to track its potential We need a tough guy on the ice 3 Dundee played taking liberties with no reply and to see Scott Jamieson getting bullied with nobody stepping in Was sickening Gauthier made for this team and a Nicker

I’ll take those silly pens on the opposing teams side any day of the week

Not always pretty, but better than I expected. Stars looked sharper to start with but as the first period went on Flyers came into the game without really troubling Morrison too much. Flyers powerplays looked slicker than the last couple of seasons and the work rate was pretty good. Dodged a couple of bullets when Stars hit the pipe and Owen looked back to his best along with some sound defensive play around him at times Flyers goal came from a pretty decent powerplay finished off by Anderson. By the end of the game Flyers looked exhausted and almost lost a goal right at the death following a tired looking attempt to clear the zone, but the shut out was preserved. Other than Owen, thought Emmerdahl had a good game, as did Naslund. McNicholas looked impressive in the first but faded out of the game later on and Jamieson didn’t look out of place. Reserving judgement on some of the others as it’s only game 2 and happy with the win and the team’s attitude. Need someone to keep the opposing numpties in check though. Good to be back and watching hockey again.

If you are sitting there wanting a Flyer to fight Hass then fair enough - you'll be sitting on your hands all season long I suspect.

Just watched the post match Todd interview, decent enough but the big questions were forgotten.
Will the other 2 signed d men be here this week, and what's the status on a last import signing.
Not fair to expect some boys to do the ice time against better teams next week.

Not fair to expect some boys to do the ice time against better teams next week. In his programme notes Todd mentioned that by all accounts there would be a full roster in place before next Saturday - by full I expect that to be with the addition of the yet unnamed/unsigned last import.
