Shawn Cameron almost 60 games in the ECHL, played ncaa and 13 games in the AHL this could be a good signing

His +\- last season in Greenville was by far the team worst for forwards. His shooting percentage was 3.7! No PP or PK points. Would be interesting to see how he was deployed. He appears to be on for goals against a lot during his time and he was on a decent team. Speed but no finish at the pro level (as yet) two call ups to the AHL one of the back of his last NCAA season is seems and two games last season. Suggest he clearly has something about his game. Reality is we don’t know until he plays here as always. What I do like is the variation in our forwards skill speed size and a mix of proven EIHL guys and some newbies. Toughness still appears a gap but two to go.

If you look at individuals its clear to see we’ve upgraded in every department: Phillips>Chase Cameron>Benson Laakkonen>Carter Kivilahti>Stadnyk Lawrence>Anderson Johansson>Peacock D’Aoust(potentially) probably on par with Magee This is where i think we have a major problem though as i dont think we’ve replaced Peacock and i know he wasn’t great but he was our best brit by a country mile. That’s why i think it’s imperative we start the season with a spare import forward. The defence I’m not even worried about, i think we look really good on the backend.

I thought Benson turned out to be a pretty decent player in a poor team last year. He was our 2nd top goal scorer after McNick. While I agree with you that this year's team looks to have more goals in it, do you reckon Cameron will top 19 goals this coming season? I hope D'Aoust is our last forward, with a tough D-man as our last import, if we are going with 14.

Would like to see Jamison and Spence given that opportunity, not just a few shifts, regular minutes with regular line mates, to build chemistry and adjust to the pace, physicality, work rate and skill level required. We will never know if they just sitting on a bench watching
