a significant upgrade on Benson though? Will be much more mobile and dynamic. If you look at individuals its clear to see we’ve upgraded in every department: Phillips>Chase Cameron>Benson Laakkonen>Carter Kivilahti>Stadnyk Lawrence>Anderson Johansson>Peacock D’Aoust(potentially) probably on par with Magee This is where i think we have a major problem though as i dont think we’ve replaced Peacock and i know he wasn’t great but he was our best brit by a country mile. That’s why i think it’s imperative we start the season with a spare import forward. The defence I’m not even worried about, i think we look really good on the backend. I thought Benson turned out to be a pretty decent player in a poor team last year. He was our 2nd top goal scorer after McNick. While I agree with you that this year's team looks to have more goals in it, do you reckon Cameron will top 19 goals this coming season? I hope D'Aoust is our last forward, with a tough D-man as our last import, if we are going with 14. I thought Benson was really really poor in all honesty. 19 goals isn’t a bad return but playing pp id expect him to have some sort of decent stats. I thought he was miles off it mobility wise, thought he was a slow skater with poor hands and a poor shot. I just think his overall game was a bit out of his depth for this level

Would like to see Jamison and Spence given that opportunity, not just a few shifts, regular minutes with regular line mates, to build chemistry and adjust to the pace, physicality, work rate and skill level required. We will never know if they just sitting on a bench watching Absolutely agree, Jamieson should start in the top 9 this season 100%. What im thinking is when we get a couple of injuries to import forwards we’ll be down to bare bones therefore running spare gives us that continuation of scoring and creates competition within the line up to perform every night.

I dont see it happening but Steve Lee would be a great signing. Would allow us two import forwards which would give us a change to run 4 lines with Jamieson and Spence getting proper minutes.

Dorowicz has left stars and Springer has left Storm, would welcome Dorowicz but Springer as last Dman I wouldn’t thank you for.

Stevie Lee would be good but an astronomical risk with his injury record, i think he’s probably done at the fully professional level. Dont think he ever recovered from the hit by O’Marra.

Yeh it’s a shame as he was class for panthers back then. Be interesting to see if we do anything about the Brit spot as it would be a waste not to have someone in it

Five games last season, steelers tried to bring him back but he wanted to stay in Sweden. If Aaron Fox calls him to sign back up I’ll take that as a good sign.
Oh and Swedes ain’t soft, watch the SHL those dudes are physical.

A good signing, my only worry is his last two seasons. Sounds like he’s struggled with injury, hopefully he’s ready for a full season.
