Well beat tonight. Cardiff much better. A two on one break after 50 seconds gave Devils the lead then a four on two about eight minutes later it was 2-0. C Lawrence had Flyers only real good chance but a great save from Bowns kept it out.
The second was scoreless and virtually entertainment free.
Devils content to see the game out in the third after they got their third less than two minutes in. Flyers had a bit of pressure near the end but never really looked like getting one back.
Too many sub par performances tonight. Lots of effort but too often the puck was given away cheaply. Once again Cochrane had a decent steady game and made fewer mistakes than most of his teammates.
Poor crowd tonight and very quiet after losing that early goal. Need to reset for next week. Two games against teams near us in the standings that we need to take points from.

We were well beaten on the night. Bowns made a couple of big saves from Lawrence and Hausinger but we did not do enough at either end. Cameron, D. Lawrence and Spence being injured has really exposed our lack of forward depth. Johansson and Lawrence looked knackered after about 10 minutes tonight, it is a big ask to have them double shifting 2 nights in a row. We desperately need an import forward in because even with D. Lawrence in the team, we lack a bit of quality in depth, particularly on the third line. We made a mistake not replacing Peacock and Jamieson. I honestly don't know if any Kestrels forwards could do a job for us. Glasgow have linked up with Solway in the NIHL and have a few players on 2-way deals. Maybe we could link up with Whitley Bay for example. Get a couple of their players on 2-way deals with us and a couple of Kestrels players on 2-way deals with them. I think something like that would be a big benefit to the clubs and players involved.

The only thing that got the Fife fans happy tonight was Toby landing on his derrière and his helmet falling off 😊 Last two home games officiating has been poor at times

We really lack pace since Cameron was injured, too many of our forwards offer nothing going forward with speed. Gerrie doesn't cut it for me, there's bound to be better available. Disappointed to lose a goal so quickly tonight, especially as it was directly from Laakonen giving the puck away in the offensive zone. Trying a silly cross-ice pass directly into traffic.

This is going to be the story of this season and may well be the thing that undermines what otherwise is a decent team. Mismanagement of Brits for years has left Fife a place no young Brit with half an option wants to be at. And the stupid thing is they will bring another import in having one to sit out most weeks when all are fit but won't get a decent standard Brit in who could play every week. They need to start treating the young Brits the same as the boys with an accent.

The mismanagement of fife is just the brits, WOW No, clearly not. But for this team in particular this season a severe lack of depth is surely clear to see, and the effect this is having?

I dont disagree with you GH, I just think there are bigger problems, than the brits situation
