No I wasn't, but the last few I have been at they were garbage If you had been there you would have seen that despite playing short benched and forced to play an import d up front they never gave up and were not far off getting a point. This team fought to.the end last night and most nights ...your continual abuse despite attending relatively few games is a harsh and in my opinion totally unwarranted

A results a result but in my opinion it’s not fair to say they’re garbage. They put full effort in most nights and play pretty entertaining hockey at the minute. Yes the squad could do with more depth but what we do have seem to gel pretty well

Aye I agree, not much point in slating the team but having no recognition of any circumstances that lead to the result. We've seen Glasgow and Dundee in particular in same boat. I know they are actively trying to bring boys in so hopefully that happens soon. Constructive criticism is totally warranted, unless you are not what you would call a supporter of hockey or the team then all bets are off I suppose.

Every team in the league suffers from injuries over the season, you know it will happen, preparation and managing it the key. Overplaying and relying on the same small group of players only leads to burn out and more injuries. Signing a full quota of players, carrying a couple of spare imports, signing up and coming youngsters on 2 way contracts are all ways to combat injuries, it's what the majority of teams in the EIHL do now. The days of trying to play short in this league are gone.

The days of trying to play short in this league are gone. This is the point i agree with most. I wouldnt say we’ve been overly hampered by injuries in all honesty, the key one was obviously losing Cameron which is a huge blow but the coaches have to shoulder the blame on Fernholm, you didnt even have to look hard to find out he was crippled with concussion. Other injuries for me have just been niggles and some the impact of playing contact sport, it’s always either been 1 or 2 imports out the line up, nothing major but any injury highlights our lack of depth overall. Specifically our Brits who the coaches quite simply dont trust. Even if Spence was healthy last night he wouldve still rode the pine. We had a similar situation in the Livingston season when we went to Sheffield with 5 import forwards and Jamieson never hit the ice. Regardless of whether the British players are good enough, the key issue is theyre not trusted and thats our major issue. This is what i dont get, why cant we offer Howlett, Rutkis, Cownie full time contracts and house them rather than signing multiple spare imports and somebody’s gonna end up in the stands every night. Id also add in our midseason recruitment has been poor this year, where in previous seasons we’ve added gems at the midway stage. I believe we will be actively recruiting but it’s probably a matter of urgency now that we get guys in the door asap, whether that may be a risk or two. Depth could really be the killer this season but it has been in the past but we dont seem to learn. One step forward signing Peacock and one step back this year with no brit capable of playing in the top 9. Also worth noting that Glasgow and Manchester seem to be picking up points on a regular basis, worrying if we dont add in the immediate future.

Flyers are absolutely rooked/directors won’t put their hand in their pocket - crowds are horrendous. Flyers don’t have the money to sign anyone decent hence they keep loosing out on signings. Couldn’t agree more they should be signing decent brits as other teams have, but there isn’t the money.

Attendances are on the up The reason is we have a good team Bafaro has stepped up and is probably equally as good as Fernholm would have been Losing Cameron is major and hard to replace at this stage I believe they will get what we need Anybody that goes to the games can see this team is good and never give up till 60 minutes The performances against Panthers and Storm is what they need to bring ever night The crowds will rise I am hoping the team get bumper attendances over Christmas Last night the bars and cafes were packed with people buying food and drinks it all helps Some of the comments on here at times better just to ignore

Clan played with 5 D men and didnt use any of the available D call ups from Solway so doesnt look like just a Fife problem!

But at least clan have these back ups flyers make no attempt to have any resilience and have become a laughing stock as far as Brits are concerned. Likes of Reece Kelly who trained with flyers when he was back home for years never even considered coming here to play as he knew they would not play or develop him. I could give you at least 3 or 4 names right now of boys in snl who could easily come in and play limited shifts to give imports a rest, but Hutch and Dutes won't play them.

Solway have 8 D men on their books surely they could have spared one. Danskin filled in a few games and got ice. They played Billingham on Saturday and won comfortably 8 nil. Reece Kelly got a 2 way with Cardiff, why wouldnt he chose that. If there are juniors / snl players etc that are ready and able why are they not even training with Flyers? Like Reece Cochrane, James Spence, Reece Kelly and Fynn Page have done previously - that would be a start surely its no skin of the coaches nose to let them train. There were a few juniors who trained with the team last season. Cochrane is now getting regular shifts, but I dont think there is room on the bench for another young Brit D man. Its a few forwards that they could use.
