Would love Coolen back next year but I fear he might ask tam for full time brits and get told the usual, then you have to wonder if will stay I had a chat with Tom last night after the game He was pretty disappointed but more so on Friday night His words he’s hoping to be back Now take that with a pinch of salt If your Tam and Jack why would you not want him back Best team we have had since conference winning team Crowds well up on previous 4 years a proper hockey coach who has coached at highest level and has good contacts What’s not to want back? He’s a good guy a gentleman I hope he’s back and gets a few Brits to help him out.

Interesting.
I’d really like to see him back too. Logically I think we have a chance. I imagine ownership would like some continuity in coaching next season, rather than have to recruit someone else.
I guess we will find out in September!

I was surprised (well, not really but you know what I mean) that none of the content from the “hockey talk” night was recorded or shared by the club. you can pretty confidently guess that the “media team” was in attendance but was too busy drinking or enjoying the lowest level of fame available to a human. If you go back and look at the content the club was pushing out 5-6 years ago it looked like we had started to try take us into the modern age. But sadly we have fallen right back into the 90s. The valentines days videos I hear are being used as inhuman methods of torture in Gaza. The coaches corner audio clips sound like Coolen is a POW. I guess the old adage is true. Pay peanuts. Get monkeys. Bit negative G - things are improving no doubt about that Things are certainly a bit better this season. The website is the best it has been in a long time with the match reports being added shortly after each game and more “news” than previously. It still has room for improvement. For example imo the fixtures page should have match scores and details and at my last look the Nottingham game on 28/03 was still not on the fixtures page. The “hockey talk” night looked to me to be run for the few rather than for all. The first mention of it on Twitter/X by the Flyers mentioned that it was nearly sold out. There were no announcements made at the games and it wasn’t publicised on the OSC Twitter feed or at the OSC table at the rink. I have heard that the show was good, but think that at least some of it could have been made public either on You Tube or in the FFP.

Just listened to Tom's interview and gotta say he was brilliant, some character is our Tom. Great bit of banter as well between him and Marc, when Marc mentioned Tom's love of travel in the EIHL.

Only negative was that he struggled with the name of our most senior team below the Flyers. Could have just been a moment tho.

Yeah I noticed that as well, you would think by now he would know the team name.

is anybody aware or has he said in any of his interviews or supporters club nights…etc… but how did Coolan get initially linked with Fife? Did somebody in the club reach out to him, did he show interest in the club… I have often wondered how somebody with his CV ended up here.

Trying to get a podcast episode sorted for this week hopefully with Coolen if we are fortunate we’ll ask the question.
