As good as it would be seeing players coming from the Kestrels its bench fillers at best. Guaranteed pretty much zero ice time. The Brit situation is so so frustrating

None of Kestrels squad are good enough at this stage to walk straight into the lineup. The games I saw last season Kay, Saunders and Somerville looked the better prospects imo, but the jump between SNL and Elite is too far. The rest looked as if they were playing at their correct level.

I don’t think it’s really any major criticism of the club. He basically just says there’s a lot of North Americans in the league and he played a lot of minutes. So it probably wasn’t the sort of hockey or number of minutes he wanted to play this late in his career as he’ll be 35 by the start of the new season. He also says he hasn’t been high on the point scoring recently and is struggling to get any good contract offers.

There was an interesting comment on a facebook post towards the end of last season from i believe one of Osterbergs relatives saying that things were happening behind the scenes on the back of a defeat. Maybe i am reading the article wrong and he wasnt too keen on being on near enough a full north american team which is fair. I wasnt too keen on bringing him back and felt he was someone we should look to upgrade on. I dont think he’ll struggle to find a team especially with such a strong European cv.

I heard a few rumblings from a couple of good sources that things weren't that great off-ice last season concerning accommodation issues, so this wouldn't surprise me if this is one of the reasons for him not wanting to return. Plus 19 points from your 1st line centre isn't a great return. We can do better.

He was good in the dots winning face offs and his size but I always felt he could go up a few gears but didn’t maybe he just paced himself He did up his game towards the end of season Tom is building the team he knows better than all of us Nothing but praise for 1st 3 signings We know what we’re getting from returning guys Don’t think I read a bad comment all season on Chiodo and new guy has impressive CV
