Positives Autumn Scottish Cup was excellent. Flyers TV-Great to here from coaches and players. Team has greater expousure to the Community, a lot of visible effort has been made this season. Quality of imports this season and Brits uping their game. Pack the Barn will live long in the memories. The players have a much improved room and you can see the commaraderie is good. Going home happy on a Saturday night, with more wins this season, you always enjoy your fish supper better with a win. The wife has fell out with me less because we have won more than we have lost at home. end..

As others have said, flyers tv. However, and this concerns all the elite league teams, if there is going to be a highlight show on sky, the quality of the highlights really has to improve. I know they are done by the teams and not by sky but some of the footage is garbage and even seasoned fans would struggle to follow what was going on. A lot of Ross's footage in his flyers tv is far higher quality than our highlights. Also, a couple of cameras behind the goals really adds to the highlight packages (see Sheffield and even Dundee). And I know, I know, we would people to do it their own time etc - just saying. While I'm on the topic, it would be great if teams also supplied their own colour commentary for their home games (Chris Ellis is garbage - he doesnt even get the names right half the time). It would be hilarious to hear weegie, Brummie or welsh accents commentating on the hockey (I'm sure nobody would laugh at the filers!) - I guess this kind of contradicts my comment on quality but there you go. Positive thread and you come away with garbage like that? Start a new thread if you wan't to moan about the quality of the Sky show and quality of footage!

Not moaning - just suggestions for further Improvement. It's great that the sport is getting national coverage, I just think that it should and could be better. I would like to see flyers try and lead the way with this. A slightly better camera and an extra couple of angles, coupled with some of Ross's trademark editing, would certainly make a difference.

Totally agree Silkypaws.
Sheffield have the best media package in the country, Dundee and ourselves are probably a close second as Flyers tv is better than Stars tv but their highlights are fantastic.

Agree about the stars. Some folk will no doubt think its cheesy or whatever but I liked when the graphics appear with goal scores details etc. sky are probably quite strict about what sort of footage they receive though which might make it more difficult.

Another positive - The large potholes in the car park at the rink seem to have been patched today.

Not going to speak about Len as I think he does a great job. But if talking about other teams like Edinburgh-yeah would be good to see their highlight standard improved a wee bit but they rely on students volunteers and the standard of quality can vary. So I can only commend guys for doing that all in their spare time with whatever camera equipment they can afford. And honestly one of he hardest things in the world (especially when looking through the viewfinder which is what? 100 times smaller than an average widescreen TV) is following that puck! especially from an elevated position. so Len does a great job of following the puck and making some really good highlights. yeah love what Sheffield and Dundee do, and u can tell they put a lot of work into it. not just highlights but interviews and that as well. with Flyers TV, I've loved getting it going and just giving fans a chance to see what goes on behind the scenes and hear from the guys. just so wish I had more time I could contribute to it, cos just now it's really just the game day and a day through the week for prematch interviews/favourite player interview/match promos, but honestly there's so much I wish I could do with it. got a Bryan Pitton feature going online next week, a Kris Hogg Favourite Player Interview going online soon, and a Zach Carriveau feature that's half done. So you guys can see them shortly. Also, in process of putting together a short documentary on the rink itself. so hopefully get these all online in next couple of weeks.

...and yeah just to add to that.
the putting together of multi camera match footage is just too much money to consider, never mind the volunteers to always film the games, never mind setting aside areas to film that might obscure view to fans, and never mind the time it would take to upload them altogether and edit. it's just too much time and money for the club to think about at the minute. great suggestion as yeah I agree it would be great to do the kind of thing Sheffield do with the different angles but unless people came forward offering to use their cameras and to film the angles and edit it altogether with the match footage, it's just unrealistic at present.

Could u no get a Tam n jack interview n let them tell us where they see the club going in the future what their plans are, are they happy just to finish eighth or do they have ambition

I realise all of that Ross and appreciate the time and effort that goes into what we do at the moment. I think everyone involved does a brilliant job. When I was mentioning the quality of the footage I wasn't even thinking about the "puck chasing" in some footage (not a problem with ours normally) I was really getting at the image quality of some - Braehead is particularly bad. It's a pity sky wouldn't commit in some way to standardise the quality.
