I know I know.....a positive comment from me you say, but I do have them, honestly :-)
There are quite a lot of threads at present, that could be deemed as negative, personally, I don't think they are, I see them more as essential debate.
But how about a thread that simple promotes the positive aspects of the club as we see it today.
There is no doubt that things have improved in many areas over the last 18 months, so why not just simply jot something down that you see as positive, I don't think we should allow this thread to fall into a debate about the club itself, its short and sweet.
So simply add your reply, and list 1 thing you see has been an improvement to how the club has operated since we joined the Elite League.
I'll get things going below.

Flyers TV
Without doubt for me, the single biggest improvement.
Great to hear from the coaches and players each week, and with the highlights online too, a chance for those of us who don't live round the corner, to keep up to date

Being in the Elite League is just great (cast your mind back a few short seasons when the highlight of the season was a Solway Sharks game)
Watching a good standard of hockey (remember Elgin and Aberdeen games)
Being competitive at home this season (transformation from last season)
Getting good attendances especially when there is a good away support to generate an atmosphere (Couple of years ago crowds were down to a few hundred, I was one of them)
Renewing our rivalry, its yet to turn bitter, with Murayfield (bring it on)
We have a lot to be thankful for

Looking from the outside in, i'm not in the best position to comment. But i'd have to say the fact that you're not last in the standings.

Quality of imports has definitely improved from last season - it's allowed us to win more often than not at home, which is fun!

the home record, the players that have been brought in and the crowd. some amazing results (7-1 v Edinburgh, 5-0 v Dundee, 5-1 v Hull, 4-1 v Belfast, 4-2 v Sheffield, beating Coventry, beating Cardiff, beating Braehead, even the Autumn Cup at start of year was a great weekend). it's been a joy to watch guys like Casey Haines, Jason Pitton, Bryan Pitton, Derek Keller, Jeff Caister, Kris Hogg, Zach Carriveau and of course the Scottish guys and Todd and Danny this year. they've all played exceptionally well this season in a lot of key matches. with the crowd really improving even more this year and was great to see the place almost full for those two games over Christmas. the noise level has also been immense particularly in the Belfast game and all the Scottish derbies. a lot to be positive about from this year.

For me it's been the atmosphere in the FIA this season. The crowd has been amazing and even on a quiet Tuesday evening we've still been making a scary amount of noise.
From a personal point of view the access we've been getting to the team & management both for my radio work & the podcast has been exceptional.

Pure and simple....being in the Elite League. Rome was not built in a day, so please be patient my fellow Flyers fans. We are going in the right direction, last thing I want to see is a Flyers team back in the SNL, sorry no disrepect to the SNL boys. For all the negative things on the other threads, for most I think it is just frustration, we must take this season as another massive step to becoming one of the big boy's again. We have clearly seen how good our team are at home, it's just not clicked on the road. Hopefully we still reach the play off's, and I'm pretty sure we will. The foundations are now complete, next year will be bigger and better.

As others have said, flyers tv.
However, and this concerns all the elite league teams, if there is going to be a highlight show on sky, the quality of the highlights really has to improve. I know they are done by the teams and not by sky but some of the footage is garbage and even seasoned fans would struggle to follow what was going on. A lot of Ross's footage in his flyers tv is far higher quality than our highlights. Also, a couple of cameras behind the goals really adds to the highlight packages (see Sheffield and even Dundee). And I know, I know, we would people to do it their own time etc - just saying.
While I'm on the topic, it would be great if teams also supplied their own colour commentary for their home games (Chris Ellis is garbage - he doesnt even get the names right half the time). It would be hilarious to hear weegie, Brummie or welsh accents commentating on the hockey (I'm sure nobody would laugh at the filers!) - I guess this kind of contradicts my comment on quality but there you go.
