With GB loosing their final pool match 4-1 against Korea today it confirmed our relegation from that pool.
Tony Hand went on record before these championships that this was the best group of players that GB has had in a while.
Now while that may be true we have asked these players to do things at a higher level than they do for their clubs such as being play makers, regular goal scorers and play on special teams. How many of this squad do any of these things on a regular basis at club level and are therefore used to playing those role at international level?
We want our senior team to be successful at international level then the Brits who play have got to be given greater responsibility and major roles at club level and the only way for that to happen is to reduce the import level so that the international standard Brits know how to play the big roles and are ready for that at international level

Pretty embarrassing championships to be honest. Never thought Hand was the right choice.

Wasn't there a few imports in the GB team when they were promoted though and Tony has almost totally had a full Brit contingent.

But it needs reducing gradually, I would say by 1 import every season for the next 5 season until it's a minimum of 6.
