Ive had many great nights at murrayfield and many more bad ones...i feel for their true fans..but is eihl hockey really viable for the caps..currently no..im sure another epl team could step up? Caps have always struggled. If it wasn't for the additions of Fife, Dundee and Braehead, they most certainly would have joined Newcastle in the realm of non-existance by now. No EPL team would step-up. No they wouldn't have. They would have dropped down a few levels but they would still exist.

Hearing that the Caps lost on penalties to Hull after a 4-4 draw tonight. Apparently they only had six imports icing, so not a bad result for them in the circumstances.

SNL is about as far into the abyss as you can get in the UK without it being rec hockey.

But don't let that get in the way of your moronic statements.

I remember one time you had a go at JamieSkyHawk for undermining the EPL... Anyway there is the ENL route. But don't let that get in the way of your moronic statements. Except SNL is entirely different from EPL. Let's address SNL first - SNL IS literally as low as you can go without it being rec hockey. ENL South has 2 imports per team for the most part - excluding the affiliate teams like Cardiff and is a far higher standard than SNL. Also, most teams in ENL South are ex-EPL teams. ENL North is also better than SNL and some teams carry imports. You're absolutely nuts if you think Edinburgh would be accepted into an ENL setup - You're talking another 80 or so miles further north. Given ENL North has basically just been divided into a North and South division because of travelling distances as it is, any team further North is just not going to happen. Solway swerved the SNL because they knew all of the above and wanted a better standard for their fans. But unlike Edinburgh, they're only as far north as existing ENL teams Whitley Bay and Billingham, so could be accepted, whereas Edinburgh will not. As to EPL, lower end EIHL teams aren't much, if any, better than higher end EPL teams and that's been proven several times in cross-league games. Hull have failed to beat Sheffield Steeldogs for each of the last 2 years of pre-season games and they're not even a top-end EPL side. It's also not the only example of this either.

I'm hearing from a fan in Edinburgh that they have almost completed th signing of a Dman coming straight from the KHL (the Russian one not Kazakstan)Sounds like a massive bloke and if he has played in the KHL could be a real threat. IF he stays LOL

Caps taking another pre-season humping. While it's meaningless with regards the league table, it can't be good for morale!
Fife and Caps have done a good job of giving Dundee some confidence to start the season. We were in a similar spot last season where we beat those around us with our "full" roster at the time and them having less imports. We went on a run of a few wins but then hit a slump. I expect the same to happen to Dundee, maybe even sooner once the team start getting fed up with Hankie's ego!

game finished caps 4 dundee 13 and thats not a typo. I never thought I would say this but I feel for the caps fans a brill 6th place finish last season, fans were returning to murrayfield and they have been given 2 humpings and 1 close run game. Scott Neil should be refunding the caps fans that travelled to hull last week and the same tonight no fan should have to watch the team humiliated like that.

Sod that, they'd have no sympathy for us (some of them still has the cheek to say we're one of the c*** teams!) if the shoe was on the other foot.

I was there tonight, either Dundee were immense or caps were utter garbage!! They gave up half way through, mind u so did Dundee! Wernt even trying yet every shot on goal went in!!! They were playing with holland whole game, he was ill and Tomas is ill too. But that's still no excuse!! Dundee 25 goals in 3 games and let in 9! And people were saying their goalie is going to be rubbish - he looked good tonight anyway!! Only let in 1 and their back up let in other 3
