I've enjoyed the first period but the announcer and music has drowned out parts of the commentary and the talking before the game and now between periods is getting drowned out a bit. The camera men may not be used to filming something as quick as hockey as they have struggled to follow the puck at times and have lost it on two occasions and had to switch camera lol. Still it's been good and a lot better than I could do and I'm sure they will be noticing these same things and working on ways to improve them.

The camera crew seemed to improve as the game went on so it looks like that won't be an issue if it's the same crew each week as I would assume they will keep improving as they get used to the pace of the game. In the second and third period it looked like they adjusted the brightness to get rid of the slight glare there was from the ice in the first, unfortunately it meant that the picture was dull and made the sky dome look dreary. It made me worry that it some arenas look dull and it effects the picture quality will that effect where premier sports broadcasts from? I've already seen a panthers fan complain about it and say only odyssey, nic and motorpoint are fit for broadcasting from.

They also happen to be the 3 venues with the worst atmosphere, which will sound even worse on TV.

I've already seen a panthers fan complain about it and say only odyssey, nic and motorpoint are fit for broadcasting from. That is a very valid point and one I made in a different thread a while ago. People have always complained about their team not being on TV as much as Panthers, Steelers, Giants etc. Including fans of my own team. However, when you look at the camera angles, lighting and other issues etc that some rinks like Whitley Bay, our Altrincham rink, Cardiff's rink etc have, then it does affect the quality of broadcasting that is possible from those rinks. TV stations have standards they set themselves for what they will broadcast and if something is of a poor quality, they will not broadcast it. This unfortunately means some teams will not get as much coverage as others. Although, personally, I wouldn't care if my team was never on TV at our rink. I would rather my team was on away games that I cannot get to, for example Coventry vs Fife.
