That is why I love hockey!!! What a game that was! Could talk about the refs but everyone else has covered that very well and quite rightly but the biggest talking point should be about that Flyers team. Missing arguably their top line of imports they dug deeper than we have given them credit for this season. Brett Bulmer will get all of the praise. He does transform us from an average team to a quite brilliant one at times but Cazzola ran that game for us. Everything that was good started with him. I didn't see the top billing that Edinburgh fans had given him earlier in the season but most of the transformation in the past month has been thanks to Mike. Another faultless display from Moore and Isaacs at the back. Pinkston is really showing his class, but Birzins and Aarsen playing hurt have to get honourable mentions. It was simply that desire that won the game. Fear now for what happens if we lose Schaber. We saw earlier in the season how him not being there hurts the team. This will test if we have the ability to evidence and influence DOPS in the way we should. I fear an equally big ban for Goats plus the loss of Schaber hitting us at a critical point in the season. Another big talking point really needs to be how did so few people see a game that had everything? Where else in Fife was there a better nights entertainment this weekend? There are obviously people working hard in the background to deliver that last night but there is no effort to get that message out resulting in the poor crowd - such a huge shame. Hockey and the Flyers are there to be loved just no one can see it. Dutes interview he is saying that Schaber has concusion also Gaut will not be banned he got put out the game for doing the right thing he had no choice but to put the steelers lights out, if he didnt the team would have got slaughtered for having no spine, this season more than last the Gaut is out doing his natural game you actually see the opositions players looking for him when he is on the ice as he will hit anything when the chance comes good to see and 10 out of 10 for doing the right thing last night even if the game was lost. Moore also on top of what you said thought he had a great game last night the lad got stuck in

That is up there with the worst refereeing performances I think I've seen recently. How Pavel is allowed to referee at the top level is beyond me.
Other than that, the guys dug in and took a massive two points.

Here's some even worse refereeing! About 14 mins in. Seriously? I don't see anything in the camera shots which would convince me that the puck crossed the line. I would have loved Stars to wipe the floor with Storm so no bias in my viewpoint. Don't see how the refs could call anything else in this case.

The camera behind the goal's footage looks conclusive to me. Assuming that's what they looked at. If goal line technology can't confirm that's a goal then what's it there for?

As for last night, I feel all the things they called were fair but they missed so mucj more! That is what is so frustrating watching the same incompetent refs every week. 1. Calls that are missed - especially really dangerous ones, 2. Consistency - Or the lack of it. - eg the non-call of Bloodof being checked into the boards from behind - That should have been called icing before the situation arose but should have been a 2 + 10, was almost the same as the penalty called on Bloodof in the 3rd where he got a 2 + 10 which they got right. If the 1st one had been called correctly, then the really ugly one on Schaber that saw him leave the game, plus 2 game penalties handed out, might never have happened.

The first check into boards not called on Bloodof was a highly debatable one. I was standing right opposite the hit, beside some hockey playing guys, and it looked to us that Bloodof deliberately stopped, suddenly, right in front of the fast skating forward who would have struggled to avoid him. It was a strange play by Bloodof - don't know if he was expecting an icing call. He could have played the puck long before it crossed the blue line so that may have been why it was waved off?

Just look at the season past, no other team would be as meek about it.

Johnston deserved it and any other team would not get hit as hard as us, but I'm sure he will get a fairly big ban, more than Johnston

Thursday and still no highlights of the game posted, whats going on? Are they delayed because of possible DOPS action or just because it's the Flyers way?

Thursday and still no highlights of the game posted, whats going on? Are they delayed because of possible DOPS action or just because it's the Flyers way? Flyers won't post the highlights until they have received a reply from DOPeS, which I'm not holding my breath on. DOPeS have previously stated that all games played on a Sunday and have reviews to be carried out, these will be done and dusted by the Wednesday at the latest, now we are into Thursday and still not a peep from them. They are totally and utterly useless as an organisation and not fit to deliver verdicts on player safety. Flyers are still waiting on clarification from them regarding Stoflets ban, despite them contacting DOPeS numerous times. This really needs to be looked at and addressed for next season, as it has been nothing short of cringeworthy this season. They had it running perfectly when Lyle Stitz (Ex NHL linesman, can't quite remember his name correctly at the moment) was doing it a couple of seasons ago, why they didn't let him continue with it doesn't make sense.

Can see the cogs clicking at DOPS - leave the verdict til as late as possible then there is no time for an appeal!
