Still nothing from DOPS! Maybe they have simply forgotten like they did with Carlo Finucci.
Going to 2nd guess them with;
Steelers have pointed out the boards are different in Fife than elsewhere. Taking this into consideration Flyers fined £5000 as they are now considered multiple offender for stuff that there are no rules on
1 game ban for Johnston. 8 game ban for Goats and a rant about how you could see it in his eyes that he meant to do worse.

I was expecting 3 for Johnson & 1 for Gauthier to be honest.
Also, how didn't Johnson get a match penalty instead of a game? It's almost like refs have been tasked not to hand out match pens as they are automatic 1 game bans! Can't say I've seen one handed out all year?

All good points Steelerblades but this is the Flyers and they are DOPS. Expect the unexpected. Should be a giggle.
I'm not ruling out Schaber getting supplementary for lying on the ice and delaying of the game.

I am going for 2 for Johnston and 5 for Gautier, it's DOPS, leave it as late as possible to lessen the backlash before weekend.

Weird feeling it will no suspension for anyone. Dops won’t even have to announce it and will be swept under the rug.

If the club asked for incident to be reviewed then they would receive word back from DOPS on the outcome. Surely the club would make sure that this outcome was made known to the supporters - it is in their interest.

I wouldn't blame the flyers directors for being a bit disillusioned with the EIHL. If we go back to incidents like the one with the Nickerson 12 game ban, and it carries on to today, the Manchester stitch up was horrendous, if that had been a court of law, none of the flyers punishments would have stood, now this week we have a player concussed and out for weeks most likely yet no review by DOPS.
I have it on extremely good authority that Tom Muir is more than willing to wash his hands of it all, and from what I hear there is a new league forming down south along the lines of BNL, not sure if this is just a resurrection of the EPL, but with Racers enjoying dipping their toe in the NIHL running with 2 imports, could Flyers and Dundee be persuaded that their future lies elsewhere, there certainly feels that there is no loyalty or backing from the EIHL does there.
Not that the directors or TD have ever ran this organisation to it's full potential, but if it was my cash I'd be keeping a bit back cause the EIHL just makes it all up as they go along, And I really hope they told them to poke their £3k fine!

So, if there is no DOPS review, can we see the highlights?

The EIHL might be the "best" league in the land but it is a loathsome beast that in my mind has sucked the soul out of hockey and if a viable alternative were available and I was the owner I would jump ship in a heartbeat.

It isn't the league that has sucked the soul out of hockey it happens in any sport that goes professional and involves money. Alot off football fans will probably say that football has changed since sky came in and some will say probably not for the better it stops becoming a sport and just becomes like any other business
