Also has been at fault for at least one goal every game so far. Out of interest- which goal in the Coventry home game do you blame him for? Oh finchy, do we really want to start playing this game pally wally? You know what I mean. If you can't respond in a mature manner then I may have to get mods involved. Can't have this sort of sillyness here.

I thought you'd take it in good part to be honest. Pretty sure the mods won't mind though! The point being that Brown's supposed poor form has been exaggerated. Obviously he didn't cost us a goal against Coventry at home and I think it'll be hard to convince many that he alone actually cost us the game against Clan either. I agree his style isn't as convincing as Pitton or Regan but ultimately he's there to keep the puck out of the net. I honestly don't think 3 weeks into the season is the time to judge him, that's all I'm saying. It could turn out that those worrying are proved right but it's just too hard to say at this stage. This time last season there wouldn't be many tipping him to back-stop Hull to the play-off weekend.

Love how everyone is so quick to jump to the keeper. As if there isn't a whole team on the ice. You can't seriously be judging him based on the last 3 weeks? If we were to go down that route then Brian Stewart and Ben Bowns are terrible! See, doesn't make sense, does it? Admittedly, I'm not bowled over as of yet, but I've every confidence he'll come into his own as the season wears on. I think it's because some people were hoping for an upgrade of some sort on Regan and are just looking for an opportunity to complain. We all know what he's capable of, especially with how he played for Hull. How about we wait a few months before dismissing the whole team before the season's even in full swing. I wasn't impressed with Rioux or Delahey initially either but they're both proving themselves. But hey, lets blame the tendy, eh?..

I'm kidding mate, that fact I used the word mature in my post suggests that I knew where you were coming from. I agree that it's maybe too early to judge, but, this isn't preseason, the mistakes has to stop. I don't dislike him either, and I've said repeatedly that I hope I'm wrong. But he needs a really great performance at home to give the fans the confidence that he's the right man between the sticks.

I too think many on here are being a bit harsh on him. A net minders job is to stop the first shot the D and indeed the Forwards should be limiting the shots that get to the net minder And clearing up anything that he drops or rebounds out. They 5 (under normal circumstances) Players in front also have to take some responsibility for defending the net and ensuring any shots that do get to the net minder should be coming from hard to score/easy to save angles.

De ja vu. We had all this with Pitts and regan. Like them he has played well at a high level and put up good stats. The only thing that will make him play poorly is between his ears so hopefully he isn't looking in at the forum. I think he will do just fine

Top drawer performance from Broony tonight. My MOM, and I'm now a believer!

Think he's in the running for most improved player award, nice bounceback after Clan game.

Once again tonight he saved our bacon quite a few times and he was left out to dry on occasion as well, yes he was not 100%, but how many players are. We've had a shut out and three back to back victories, suits me fine. He is definitely settling in and does not get the same encouragement from the fans as his three predecessors which is unfortunate, but hopefully will change soon.
Broon is not an entertainer first and a netminder second, he is a warts and all good grafting netminder and I think over the season more fans will come to appreciate that.

I don't think he will win us games like Regan did on numerous occasions, but if he remains at the same level as last night he won't cost us much either. He is a decent enough nettie who has the bonus of being a Euro, swings and roundabouts

If you don't think he had a good game last night then you'll never be pleased with how he plays. Not sure what "flappy happy is, but he stops the puck, which is really all that matters. No marks for style in this game.

Made some good saves on Saturday, couldn't do much about both goals
Can't comment on sunday as i didn't watch the game
Defo looked full of confidence before the game started
Getting better with each week IMO, settling in just fine
Yes he may appear a bit "flappy" at times but if he is stopping pucks thats what matters

Ive been fairly happy with Broony so far..but wasnt impressed on Sat night..too much flapping around..swinging stick at pucks goin miles wide of net...just an opinion...i was one of the first to defend him when he signed..nms are supposed to keep the puck out which is the basic requirement.
