Although i couldnt make the games at the weekend it seems from comments that DB had great games and therefore deserves credit where its due. Well done son!

I loved the video too that's on the Flyers page, where he skates the full length of the arena to celebrate after Danny's goal I think it was :-)

Still coughing up goals when he shouldn't be. My best mate is a goalie, and he is nowhere near convinced that brown is good enough to be a game winner for the flyers. I would love to be proved wrong. But I see him costing us games than winning them.

He was a lot better this weekend, he didn't have guys on top of him as much as he did against clan. As Harlan said on another thread he's a very good shot stopper but very poor when there's a scramble around the net, he gives off a huge amount of rebounds aswell. Our D are going to have to learn to clear out the crease very quickly, but we don't have a big strong D man to do that against the big power forwards.

I was critical of his signing and don't believe he could have been our first choice. He was clearly at fault with Braehead's first goal and also Edinburgh's. However he was solid against Dundee and won us the match against Edinburgh with a couple of very high quality saves, and an all round excellent display. I think he is doing quite well and am hopeful he will justify his signing, sure he'll make mistakes but who doesn't? A big test for him will be Clan in Braehead who will put him under a lot more pressure than Edinburgh and Dundee.

He's a bit like a goalie on a hot tin roof, where Regan looked cool and composed Brown looks like a jumping jack. There are going to be a lot of games a hundred times harder than the Dundee and Edinburgh games we've just had, He'll need to play well in these games to win over all of the fans.

Well I have been pretty critical of his play so far but on Sunday he was far better (missed Saturday so can't comment) He was much more controlled and calm in the net. Tracked the puck better and stayed up more than he has been doing so far. A few of his gloves saves in the 2nd period had every Flyers fan on their feet cheering the first one was just an outstanding reaction save from close in.
The defence also looked much more settled with Rioux getting better everytime I see him. His partnership with Delahey is only getting stronger.
One good weekend wont make me totally change my mind but if he can stay close to that level of performance (with the odd howler that every goalie has from time to time) then he will do very well for us.
Safe to say that without his performance on Sunday we wouldn't have won the game.

I think a lot of the debate over Brown has been to do with pre-conceptions.
Kevin Regan took a while to settle (lots of people forget that) but because everyone was pleased with his pedigree he was given time. People have been jumping all over Brown partly because a lot of fans couldnt understand why we were signing 'Hull's goalie' IMO.
He's made a couple of mistakes- I bet every goalie in the EIHL has so far! Even Cov's great keeper made a couple the night we beat them in Fife.
Hull fans seemed happy with him last season, particularly after November so not sure why there is such great concern. He's basically had 1 dodgy game. Some of the amateur analysis of his style has actually been comical. I remember a lot of fans that were unhappy with Bryan Pitton puck handling and kept hearing how it was going to cost us goals but guess what?- it didnt.
Really think having the same sort of crowd support that our last 3 goalies enjoyed will see the best of him. He is/was aware of the lukewarm reaction to his signing- maybe full fan backing will give him the confidence every goalie needs?

He's made more than a couple mistakes. He cost the flyers the Braehead game with his performance. Also has been at fault for at least one goal every game so far.
I'm certainly not hating the guy, but you have to wonder how the D react when flyers are playing well and we lose a soft goal. All this nonsense saying "aye sure, he's made some mistakes, but what goalie doesn't?" doesn't wash with me, or should it with any fan. I'm more than happy to give him my full backing. Would also love to be proved wrong. But the mistakes has to stop, and if they don't, I hope Todd has the balls to get a new goalie, which I imagine won't happen.

He made some great saves against the caps that kept us in the game.
