This point marks the lowest point for me in our time in the Elite League. The owners of the club need to take a long hard look at the whole running of the club, every aspect, from top to bottom because basically I think that we suck. Problem for me is I'm a Flyers fan always have been always will be, this is my team, I want better. Says it all for me. I can't get to many games because of location and work. I'll be in The Ice Rink on Sunday of next week and, for the first time ever, I'm really not looking forward to it. I've only seen two games this season and neither has filled me with any confidence. The problem for me is that I don't hold any hope that the owners will do what the Rovers Board did under similar circumstances.

For me the problem runs so deep that I can't see a way back at the moment. I want to watch the Flyers - the team I've supported for over forty years. A group of 'bought in' imports who change on a yearly basis are not the Flyers. The Flyers are the players you've watched since they were kids. I'd happily watch a team of real Flyers lose for a couple of years if I saw passion, progress and development and a commitment to British hockey. I genuinely believe there is talent out there and it is not being allowed to come to fruition. I'm not against a core of imports who have a genuine development role within a team and club but I can't care about a team with an ever-revolving collection of 'bought in' players. The team that's been icing for the last few years is not the Flyers.
People will say I'm living in the past and British hockey has gone but I'd love it if Fife was where the re-birth started...

Modern sport being what it is, I think we're way past hopes of recreating an environment where we're where we should be- at the top level, and still able to fill our roster full of local boys. What's sad is that local boys dont want to play for us in any case. The window for British lads to play at the top level is much smaller than it used to be, but other clubs, the other non-arena outfits, have done everything they can IMO to develop guys to fill those 4/5 roster spots available. We have not blooded a single British player under 23 since the 1st EIHL year!! A vacuum of 4 years at a place that used to lead the way for bringing local boys in. Instead we've lazily kept on re-signing the same guys year in year out- some of them are getting closer to 30 now and nobody has a clue who the replacements are likely to be when the time comes....

Yet again the club are proving that the fans mean nothing to them apart from being a source of income. It's obvious that the coaches are unwilling to take responsibility and the owners aren't willing to take matter into their own hands.
Perhaps it's about time that we stop targeting boo's & social media comments at the team and instead direct it at the owners and the major sponsors of the club.
It's only a matter of time before companies begin to reconsider their affiliation with the Flyers - who wants to be associated with a club who are blatantly ignorant and arrogant towards fans? And once that begins happening, match losses will be the least of our worries

Todd needs to face a couple of facts.
1. In 4.5 years he has taken Fife Flyers to the Nottingham Play-off Finals once. That was ONLY achieved at the end of the last period in the last game of the year.
2. Communication and leadership He doesn't have those skills/ability OR every single player who has worn the shirt in that 4.5 year period have had serious issues because none of them can follow his system BUT we have had to pay for and endure that costly exercise.
On Saturday for more than half the last period he did not even watch the game, speak to anybody or change anything to alter that amazing system we have heard so much about whilst the Dundee coach was active most of the ENTIRE GAME and he was WINNING.
Sorry, he would never have been my choice in the first place and he is well past the sell by date now.....MUST GO.

Agree with Nobobody. I have simple expectations of the Flyers and dont think they are unrealistic. -a team that punches it's weight in terms of the size of club we are and entertainment on the ice. -a match-night experience that doesnt have me constantly cringeing (raffle winners being announced over the tannoy near the end of the game on Saturday??!) -decent use of social media and a web-site that contains articles that dont make your toes curl at the horrific quality. -to have match HIGHLIGHTS of a similar quality to the rest of the league. I'm sure Tom Muir didnt become succesful in business by accepting mediocrity throughout his firm and not sure why Flyers should be any different. Finchy, careful now, you're beginning to sound like me?

I hear what your saying man. The real joys for me watching the Flyers was seeing the young kids coming through, the likes of Deano or the Haigs or the Kings. Will this ever happen again, I hope so but............

They have won the conference twice were one result away from winning the league last season have competed this year in the CHL. Their off ice staff are full-time and their social media work makes ours look poor, and thats me being kind. 3 year kit deal with Warrior Hockey. we can only dream of that I'm afraid to say. Lets not kid ourselves that we are similar to the clan they have left us behind in pretty much every category.
