How about Schaber not being a player for us next season just because he's one of the longer serving players and maybe likes the area and knows the eihl.

One of the longer serving imports seems to like the area may like the idea if he is still getting bothered by injuries and knows the eihl Ok which part of that makes him head coach?

Schaber certainly seems to be a darling in the eyes of some fans but I’ve never quite got it. Strikes me as a player who quite often seems like he has more in his locker than he produces. He seems a nice jovial happy go lucky guy who’s been unlucky with injuries but he kind of typifies Todd’s safety first recruitment policy - something I feel he needs to change. To suggest he is coach material at the age of 29 with no experience is incredible.
You can usually make a guess at which players become coach’s and they are generally leaders on the ice - a lot of current EIHL coach’s were - Lord, Keefe, Stewart, Pacha, Finnerty, Fitzy etc., and Hutchy was too. I just don’t see it with Schaber.

Todd has the job for as long as he wants it. If we are so strapped for cash why run two bench coaches. May aswell get someone like Schaber or an experienced player as player coach and see if they can do the role.

Nah you want a guy like Matheson at the panthers, already been assistant coach for the last 3 years in this league. Still playing at a high level within this league. 36 years old really good high level European experience EBEL CHL SHL 7 years in the AHL. He would be my pick.

It'll take more than a Mercedes to entice players to sign after this season.

It'll take more than a Mercedes to entice players to sign after this season. It’s one bad season as such, players will come as they get paid each week nice apartments great cars beautiful area golf etc etc. Getting guys to sign up for flyers ain’t an issue it’s paying the right money and only offering cheap deals that bites them. Bloodoff going to the blaze cause we wouldn’t match the money. That worked out great for us eh!

He's had a brilliant season, a very skilled hardworking player, exactly what we could have done with, definitely our loss on that move.

I think i would say hes had a good season. Can go games without having much impact then string a few great scoring performances together. Consistently inconsistent imo
I would take him over Just and Livingstone and this seasons Pcrowder though.

He was criminally misused in his 2nd season here but I’d still have him as one of the best forwards in the league.

Gotta say Bloodoff plays a net front game every game so played hard minutes for us all the time. He is points wise exactly where he has been every other season.

His first season he was up top of the league in scoring before getting hurt. Terrific player who we have missed badly.

So steelers have signed a number of this years team before getting their guys home. Nice little article from them talking about comms to fans being key especially right now.
Since the season is done when would folks like to hear about our team plans and players for next season.
For once I would actually like to hear about our plans within at least a week of the season finishing.

I wouldn’t even think about next season yet mate, flyers are going to lose a shed load of income from the next few weeks, we’ll be bargain basement shopping more than ever this off season

Numbers are dropping down to 13 next season so don't really see much of an issue. We should have already signed up key imports from this years team (all 3 off them).
