Joe has he even had a winning season since we entered the league.he keeps getting rewarded for failure that wouldn't happen to any other coach in a professional team sport with his record Yes. He has had winning seasons (assume you mean the team wins more than they lose) 13-14 till around 18-19 were actually acceptable. But since the covid shorted season it’s been abysmal. Yup, when you look back we were finishing 5th-7th, even the season we had that dramatic late playoff run was exciting at the end, Siddall, Haines, Fulton, Reber, Roehl, Nickerson, Ian Young, Caister, Haines, to name a few who were actually characters, where’s these signings went? The last few years has just been so absolutely boring and lifeless it’s actually scary.

Just had a completely random thought! So Todd upstairs position young Tommy on bench coaching cause I hear he is coaching now at juniors got his certification etc and maybe a Chris Lawrence or Zac Philly as assistant coach? That has to be a viable option!

Big difference coaching kids and seasoned pros ...apparently if Todd and Hutchy have lost the room as rumoured what chance has a rookie coach who has never coached a senior game at any level. Has to be a respected known name who has proven he can coach at a professional level

It’s more about what we would get as opposed to what we want tho eh I’d take Pete Russell in a second but are Fife going to pay for another flat, another car and probably film star wages… I don’t think so

The two of them are a poison running through this once great club that I have supported with a season ticket from 1987 till nickersons last season.nothing has changed since we entered the league over playing imports not playing the Brits we have had some really good imports playing for us through that time and always failing and the common denominator through out all of that is a cardboard cutout who doesn't know how to get the best out of the players he has signed.he wil go down in history as the most useless coach who has dragged this once great club into a black hole they might never get out of

He should never have been given the job in the first place if they had given it to Danny instead they would have been alot more competitive as he would have built a team to suit the league

Where do you even start?
Got gifted the job as the only foreign import left in town after the collapse of the BNL. Fair play to him for for doing that. He Did an ok job coaching a bunch of amateurs but still struggled against Solway, Dundee and Whitley, Dundalk ect. at that level.
Moving up to the Elite League and straight away made the first mistake of underestimating the league. Went with 5(?) imports and no full-time Brits in a 10 import league and failed to compete. Things did get slightly better in the following years but no doubt much of that would have been down to Danny Stewart’s influence. The Flyers peaked in the EIHL between the Nickerson years and the conference win but it has been downhill ever since 2018…
To summarise: highest place finish ever = 6th (3 times), 7th (3 times), 8th (once), 10th (3 times going on 4th, and 3rd in a row). Over 11 seasons this gives a mean average of 7.81 place in the league.
It’s not good enough. Yes he was loyal and stayed as coach since 2005 but things are just so stale it’s hard to see it ever getting better again. It’s time to freshen things up and get a new face behind the bench.
For me: I’d throw everything we can at poaching Paul Thompson from Odense Bulldogs. If not now then get him in place for the end of the season and start the ball rolling from April/May for a better future at Fife Flyers.

Every team he has picked since Danny got out has been built in his own image very little physicality normal round about six foot or less in height and when games get physical the players aren't interested.tweddle dum and twiddle Dee are picking up more money each month than alot of fans who keep going each week hoping they might actually be entertained or at least see a team willing to work hard for sixty minutes which shouldn't be too much to ask

Can’t for the life of me understand why any professional sports team wouldn’t change management after 4 years of being the worst team in the league.

I believe any other coach working under Muir would still build a better team that would compete every night than what we have had to suffer.im not a Muir supporter but I'm convinced the clown we have doesn't know how to build a team to suit this league because he doesn't know to handle physical players any physical player we have ever had I don't believe has ever been allowed to play there natural game because the cardboard cutout wasn't that type of player he doesn't want guys to play that way
