Why is this on Friday night and not Saturday? Also, is it true that there won't be any away fans? Play offs were brought forward a week due to the GB international games. As a result the Utilita arena was already booked out for a Gary Barlow concert. So they had to move the fixture to Ice Sheffield which only had availability on the Friday and has a much smaller capacity, meaning not all season ticket holders for sheffield were able to get tickets, never mind a general sale and no away capacity. A less corrupt league would say that's a Sheffield problem, and away fans should still be guaranteed an allocation. However, given that Steelers owner is also the league chairman, they can pretty much do what they want.

The smaller rink and fan capacity might suit us Rubbish no Flyers fans are getting in At FIA we will take anybody’s money to fill the place it helps the club I would expect a huge Steelers contingent for this Doubt we will say no away fans it’s petty Sheffield would have allowed away fans if not ice Sheffield The league should step up and say for fairness play At Nottingham Then whoever wants to go can go

I ain't confident going up against the Steelers let me tell ya but I'm clinging on to a little hope.
In the NHL last year Boston Bruins had an unbelievably good season, No 1 seed and favourites for the Stanley Cup but got dumped out in the first play off round. Anything can happen in sport anything so it ain't over till it's over. Avoid being leathered in Sheffield and have at them in Kirkcaldy.

Wishing you lads all the best. Smaller rink in Sheffield should help you. Seen a couple of games in there against Clan and even remember a win with a Bari McKenzie goal. If Owen plays a blinder and you can keep it tight on the Friday you have to fancy your chances at the FIA with all the pressure on Steelers. Despite being a Clan fan I genuinely hope you do it.

Although the capacity is much smaller than the Sheffield arena at 1500, the ice pad is olympic sized like the arena. It doesn't feel like a Steelers home game as much as the arena does though for some reason. And in places the boards have no give at all as they are backed by concrete!

Are the team travelling down today and staying overnight? Yes, they left this afternoon Times have changed! I wonder if this was the reason behind the poor showing on Sunday night. Friday night game then a days rest on Saturday. Suppose only time will tell. Keep it tight in Sheffield then all to play for in Sheffield. Mon the Flyers!
