Not sure about Campbell, but I thought Chaumont had something. I suspect, this is what our owners might be waiting for, guys to be released, no flights etc, cheap as chips, two for a pound, lovely jubbly

Don't rate either of them to be honest. Chaumont looks to be a lazy player, not really what we need.

I can just see Delboy now wearing his Flyers jersey down on his stall desperately trying to flog these two axed imports to your owners! Will the fans be saying "cushty" though? ;D

Campbell has done nothing for Clan this year and has been struggling with injury but he might be useful for us on our third line to help develop the Brits and that would allow Todd to develop a 4th line with him on it or for him to be bench coach.
I dont know if Chaumont is really what we need either, where would we play him. I dont think he is a first line player and he isnt the power forward that the second line needs to create it some space but at nearly a point a game in his two stints in this league we would be foolish not to talk to him to see what he can offer us and vice versa

Chaumont is definitely a guy we should be enquiring about his stats in the CHL are excellent and I don't know how you can call him lazy all his goals have been rebounds so he gets to the dirty areas to score. I think he would definitely add something to our 1st or 2nd line.
If we were to go for 11 Soupy would be an excellent acquisition as well he likes playing with Brits and is an experienced guy. Great experience in the elite and in NA and he knows where the goal is although he has been battling an injury. I would get them in and see what we do with a full complement shape up as follows:
1: Hogg Haines Pitton 2. Chaumont Stewie JD 3. Hamish Soupy Dutes 4. Gunn Wilson Smith/Scoon
That is a much better team than we have at the minute hopefully we are in touch with their agents and we can get them in before the weekend. You could even push Gunn to 3 and put Dutes with on 4 so he has more time to coach.

Is that panicking though wanting to bring in these two guys just for the sake of it. We did the same last year with Ceman and Bakrlik, brought them in because they were here and it was easy to do, not because they were necessarily the right fit.
If we bring Campbell and Chaumont then I would move Dutes to a 4th line so that there was an import on each line and the Brits all have an opportunity to play with an import and use that as a shut down line rather than our second line and allow the second line to start expressing itself more and being more offensive.
Also if we do get them both why wait until Sat, they are both here both up to game speed and we have a game tomorrow night. If we do it do it for tomorrow night

Bakrlik and Ceman were I suppose panic signings but funnily enough this pair might be just what we need. Chaumont to add a bit of fire power to our 2nd line and Campbell to centre the 3rd.
Campbell's stats until this season were actually excellent and Gunn and McAlpine I feel would benefit from having him on board.
If they're rubbish we still have time to cut them.

Chaumont hot and cold, yes can score goals but never chases the puck and when looses puck leaves it up to others to win back. Trust me you don't want him and if you thought Zemlak liked the bunnies hmmm enough said ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Campbell I liked a real good player last season and led the 3rd line with Haywood and Walker but this season has been nothing but pure awful. A real nice guy but on ice is what's important. On the subject of releasing players total respect to coaches for making the hard decision and a mighty kick up the back side for the other non performers in the team including your golden boy from last season who I hope is next out the door.

I remember at the start of the year when Campbell hadn't arrived and we beat you saying he wouldn't make much of a difference anyway but you(clanfandoug) told me the complete opposite and how good he was and how i must have never seen a clan game last year.. i think on this occasion i was right ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Ah but they are a bit slow in the west flyer24.
Us Fifers were saying during the summer that Zemlak wasnt the right fit for them and then after the Autumn Cup weekend we were saying that their D wasnt good enough.
Its only taken the majority of them until Oct/Nov to realise what we were saying here ages ago.
Bless them on the west coast though, they might begin to recognise a good hockey player eventually, if they see one

I actually don't remember many tipping him to flop over at Braehead if I'm being honest.
