Have to agree, too much lies and **** **** on the old forum which probably resulted in it being closed down. This trend has continued over to the 'unofficial' one and to be honest, it makes for depressing reading at times. I'm in agreement with drhockey on this one, folk spreading rumours for the sake of it need to be stopped in their tracks.
MOD COMMENT: No swearing please

It shouldn't be as heavy regulated, but as an unofficial forum it has the potential to go down hill very fast. In order for the forum to have any credibility, ***** like Scott should be banned, no doubt about that. I bet he is sitting in his house right now rubbing his hands with glee that he has started this debate. There is a difference between a rumour in a rumour thread and a blatant lie to try and get attention. And I'm afraid in this case it's pretty obvious Scott is just looking for a reaction. MOD COMMENT: You are entitled to your opinion but please do so without insulting others.I don't see the problem he has posted a RUMOUR that has been going around for weeks. Dosen't mean it is true but it doesn't mean it's lies either. I'm sure there is plenty of educated hockey people on this forum to give it credibility in turn with them sharing there knowledge and the potential DISCUSSIONS\DEBATES on here it will only help this forum flourish.

Thank god you're not running the forum then. He's not insulted anyone so I don't see what the issue is. You're the one turning it into a debate. His post would have probably passed by most as we're more interested in our own players/club. Unless you have proof it's a lie, how do you know it's a lie? Only he knows whether it's a lie or a rumour, and like most forums, we have to take what people post at face value. If we start having to vet every post for factual accuracy, the forum will die quicker than the route you seem to think it's taking. So your quite happy to have a forum built on lies? (And I'm pretty sure you know Scott's post is 100% made up) I now see why the directors closed down the official forum. That's where you are wrong. I don't know it's made up. He's posted something he has heard (i.e. a rumour). He's not claiming something to be fact. So no, it won't be a forum built on lies. If you have proof it's a lie, PM a mod. The official forum was closed down because (quote from PR); Not lies, but criticism that the club didn't want to be associated with which is their prerogative.

Where are these lies you are referring to? If the same people continually spread rumours which turn out to not be true, people will take anything they say in the future with a pinch of salt. In the meantime, I don't understand the witch hunt.

I heard from an ex SNL goalie that Braehead is an awful place to play for a keeper, something to do with the lights, not sure if that was just a personal thing tho, maybe horse could shed some light on that? I played Reccy there a guid few years ago and the Ice was terrible...but that was reccy...I also thought it was warm, to warm!!

As for Scott, he is posting what he has heeard or has been told....In Fife, someone always knows someone who is connected to hockey at some level...he may have got his Info that way. You would be surprised the stuff i am told, because of the time I have been around hockey, people know me and always talk hockey with me...the stuff i am told i could write a book with...I could post stuff but chose not too.....because I respect the person who has told me....some tell me and ask me to drop it into things to get it out there too. Would that mean I make things up too??

I came on here for that reason, to get rid of the c*** and to post Kestrels stuff and to HELP the Admin out!! I have been on here more in 1 week than in 2 years of just watching the old one....

I can remember Flyers having a forum as far back as the BNL days so I would say the directors were very patient with the forum and must have been pushed to the limits to close the official one. We were all members there so we know the rubbish that was getting said. I just thought the aim of this forum was to move away from all that c*** and make a fresh start. I just feel pointless post like Scott made are going to put us back to the old forum where it was just weeks and weeks off speculation. I'd be interested to hear where Scott heard this warning Zemlak has been given? Maybe he can come on and share. Not looking for names, but an idea of where this truthful statement has come from would be appreciated. Funny it never made it on to the clan site...

If I was a player I wouldn't want to be going anywhere near the Clan if Krestanovich gave me a phone call asking if I fancied playing for them
What would be the chances of you actually lasting the season? Would you be looking over your shoulder all the time wondering who is looking at your performances?
Two of the last three players cut from the Clan appear to have had nothing to do with Krestanovich. Its all well and good Clan fans saying that they trust Krestanovich but how can they when the man with the money doesn't appear to trust his signings and overrides 3 of them this season.
That is bound to effect you as a player. If you are having your coach come tell you regularly that you are doing a good job for his team but really you don't know if you will still get cut because the man with the money says you must.
I wouldn't want to be anywhere near the Clan under those circumstances

That is one thing the owners of the Flyers do not do in a hurry is gas players, they have been loyal to mediocre players far less guys that do the business over the years.

With Campbell was he not carrying a injury and covering at the back because they were short on defence. Seems a bit harsh on the guy if he is being cut while doing this and helping develop the brits in the team by being the import on the 3rd line. Looking at his points from past seasons he clearly is a good player.

I really like Soupy a top guy, this season he came in late as had visa issues as it was lost on way to him. He didn't look in good condition this year tbh. He did get injured then came back into team and did cover in D for couple of games before moving back to forward. Last year he was great with Adam Walker and Matt Haywood. This year sadly not the same player, I was gutted he was gassed but understand the reason and respect the decision for the best of the team and to get new guy in that will improve team. As for Chaumont yes he got goals and hope he does well in Fife, but if puck doesn't come to him he rarely chases for puck or try and win puck back when he looses it. All about opinions and I have no complaints with the two being released for better and hard working player or players to come in now.

Chaumont certainly did a lot of work in both ends of the rink in the two games this weekend
