For me it's simple Todd and Danny stand shoulder to shoulder and have gone down the recruiting route of no enforcer (forget us fans debating that for a second) they had a vision of team toughness that would be good enough for us this season. It's clear to see that's been a huge error on their part.
It took them a full year to admit they got it wrong in our first year when we went short on imports. We simply can't wait that long this season.
The crowd numbers will fall further and further (below 2000 for Cardiff at the weekend, that really surprised me) after 2 seasons of them getting back to excellent levels. Matt Nickerson brought fans to the game without that physical presence some fans just wont go. I can't believe Tam Muir doesn't see that or wont do anything about it.
When you look around the league (other than the storm) every team has at least 2 guys willing to go when required. One of our best players and current top scorer had to stand up and fight Hotham (who should face a ban for excessive roughness-punching a guys head while he is on the ice and the fights over)our top players simply shouldn't be put in that position.
The coaches have got this one horribly wrong for me, just hope they can turn it around and admit the mistake but I fear it's more likely that Todd will just stick his head further in the bucket and do nothing.

Yeah I agree, I was on the fence at the beginning of the season hoping our team toughness would prevail, but having Paquet being our stand up character and Rioux dropping the gloves at the weekend has made my mind up that we really should have an enforcer on the team. Injuries WILL happen very soon, Rioux's face looked a mess when he was kicked out of the game on saturday, I was dissapointed with the lack of hits and checks we attempted, what happened to that team we had that destroyed Coventry at the start of the season? Every team is going to batter us hard every week now we looked very weak on saturday no team toughness at any point im afraid I will be very surprised if there are any changes to the squad or coaching staff this season, pains me to say this but looks like we will be at the foot of the table for a while now. I hope he get this slump sorted soon though as they guys we have this year are more than capable of winning games. The system Todd has them running is utter pants at times, our PP is woeful! Not capable of pass after pass, just take a shot on goal, fans were getting fustrated as hell on saturday with the lack of shooting in Cardif zone especially on PP. I do think at times we are playing excellent hockey but we just cant get the puck in the damn net! I can sit here and argue that Ref's cost us the games on Friday & Saturday but end of the day we were well beat Shocking to hear that refs car was keyed on sat after game. I don't condone this behavior but i did say to my mate that something might happen to him after this game, he made the place very hostile and was shocking the whole night, how anyone can say the quality has improved of officials this year is a joke IMO I think our biggest flaw is having no plan B. Our plan A may not be great but its still quite early in the season, hopefully things can get better soon, and I know we can't really afford to be waiting for improvements etc, but did anyone really expect us to be superstars this season? I had high(ish) hopes for this team this year but not anymore Directors need to start listening to their fans

I have to agree. It is a far cry from coaching in the BNL to coaching in the Elite league and I'm afraid it's a step too far for Todd. As for Danny I can't deny that he gives 100% however sometimes it feels like we are an import short ( no pun intended ) Got to take issue with this post, particularly after watching Saturdays performance against Cardiff. Not only did Danny get the MOM award he also was the only player to finish his checks consistently and wasn’t afraid to get in the face of Salters and Hendrix. Also I think it’s a sad reflection on our players that Danny seemed to be the player with the most energy on Saturday night. The rest looked a bit jaded from the game on Friday night (Fox, Caig and Lee in particular). Danny’s stats from last year don’t make great reading, but you have to remember he was stuck on the “hockey for all” line with Jamie and Gunny for two years. Danny is by far not our worst import this year. Danny got our MOM and Hendricx got theirs , I think the golf club who sponsored the game were at the wind up? Why have you got an issue with my post? it is only my opinion, I did however say that Danny gives 100% which is more or less what you are saying.

Ah right, didn't know that, that will explain the disbelief of the fans when the players names were announced then. Mind you that was nothing compared to the complete and utter shock on Hendrikx face when he was announced, you could av knocked him over................well maybe not

Another little talking point on this matter perhaps - how exactly can the fans show their displeasure with the coaches and ownership? Booing can be (and has been in the past if my memory serves me correctly) misinterpreted - the club/Todd believe that the fans are unhappy with the referee and not necessarily the performance of the team. A boycott damages the income of the club (which in turn makes it more difficult for funding arena improvements, higher calibre of players next season etc.) but it's unlikely that a major percentage of the fans would be willing to do it due to their sheer loyalty to the club. Having a negative opinion regarding the team on social media also doesn't work because most of the negative comments are deleted by Flyers staff and it's unlikely that the owners even read what is being written. I can't help but feel that until sponsors show displeasure in the club (for example, Scott Gibson hasn't been exactly flattering the club on Twitter recently), there are going to be no changes made

Barring the great run all we seem to have done is struggle.
The hockey we played last season and this season in my opinion has been quite brutal to watch. I've watched the last couple of games on webcasts and have to say that they hardly held my attention at all.
I'm a Flyers diehard. I only want the best for the club and I'm afraid that this is not going to happen with TD and DS holding the reigns.
I think that it is time now for coaching changes to be made, something needs to be done to spark us back into life.

I think we`re all in agreement that they must go. They are the common denominator in the mess.
I wanted them gone after last season and hence why I never renewed my season this year.
Due to work, Saturday was only my 2nd game this season and have already got my tix for Braeheid so will be there. After that, gawd knows when my next game will be but it won`t be down to work commitments.
Totally disillusioned with them right now but won`t blame ANY player for it.

Hard cash (or lack of it) brings their attention. I would also say that absolute and utterly diabolical refereeing doesn`t help us.

On a serious note I feel the same frustration, maybe some banners or something would get noticed, everything else just gets swept under the carpet. Until the "clique" open there's eyes not much will happen. Too many people see the flyers as a social club, its a social event yes but it's a hockey club first and foremost! And so hockey should be main priority!

Lmao! Do they actually interview them or just edit and reprint one from years ago? I've stopped watching or reading there stuff, the wife put the sound cloud file from sat night on and I had to walk away, I wish I could see the world through Dutes and Danny's eyes, sounds like a wonderful place to be, "here watch this sh*# turn to gold!"

I've stopped watching these post match interviews for a while now, its the same garbage excuses week in week out when we lose! The team didn't exactly play badly, could have been better yes, but we have a bunch of hard grafters who have shown they can compete for 60+ mins Dutes needs to start questioning his coaching methods and tactics, if something isn't working why run the same plays over and over, it was the same last season In terms of having a boycott, the majority of fans will not agree to this as they support the team, they are not there because of Dutes. I do agree though that actions speak louder than words and major changes are needed at FIA A lot of fans will say the problem last weekend was the Refs, until we lose a game without any dodgy calls (highly unlikley in this league) then I don't think they will be convinced that the coaching is the problem. This weekend will be interesting, If we get beat by Dundee at home & away to Edinburgh this weekend Dutes has got to go, but again, I will be surprised if he does go at any point this season

If that's what it takes to get changes then so be it.

Got to take issue with this post, particularly after watching Saturdays performance against Cardiff. I do understand that your entitled to your opinion but I believe there’s a difference between “giving 100%” and being a player who plays with speed and finishes his checks, for example: “Giving 100%”- A player with no visible form of skating or hockey ability who tries his heart out every shift with no end production. I could name a Brit or two in this category but I shall resist. Danny on the other hand plays a fore-checking game allowing him to put the oppositions D under pressure which in some instances could lead to them making a mistake or a turn-over. Flyers have no forward players that put the oppositions D under any pressure which I think is a fundamental flaw in our team. Steven Macalpine brought that to the table when iced for us a few years ago and to an extent in his first season Jordan Fulton was good on the fore-check until I assume Todd asked him to stop finishing his checks on the D? If you were at the FIA on Sat you will have noticed our D-men p***ing their pants every time a puck went in a corner and they were but under constant pressure in our zone. On the other hand the likes of Hotham et al were able to lift their heads and easily make a pass into the neutral zone. Back to my point, Danny is currently offering more to our team than other imports currently on our Roster. Going into the weekend I predict we will scrape a win against Dundee and we will probably take a point from Edinburgh which will be enough for Todd and Danny to remain in post. Realistically this season we will be in a scrap with Manchester, Edinburgh and Dundee for a play-off place minus the excitement of any potential scraps from Nickerson; a piece of skill from Ned; Fulton running a goalie; Regan standing on his head or a burst of speed from a Reber. The lack of excitement will probably explain the drop in attendances already…..
