7 Kestrel boys are in the Scotland u19s team this year. Out of which 1 is in GB u16, 2 are in GB u18's going to South Korea at the end of month for World championships. All had GB trials up to the u20's age group and are all still young enough to trial 20's again next season. Not many clubs have this at their disposal. but we as an organisation are not using the tools of the trade to progress these kids to that next level they get to kestrels level and that's it no further development or progress unless they go to other clubs and this is where we fail Correct, some have offers elsewhere I believe already.

The Caps have already picked up Tyler Plews and Liam Cassidy and I believe they had one of the Robertson lads on the books for a season too. So it wouldn't surprise me to see them after the likes of Simpson and Cochrane.

Neither Plews or Cassidy would get in our line up...Cassidy doesn't even get in Caps line up and Plews gets very few shifts and none if the game is tight, and that's the perennial in the last place elite team.

I didn't say they would get in our side. 2. Both lads are only 20 with room to develop. 3. What I said illustrates that our prospects will go elsewhere if offered. Keep up son.

So they won't get in our side..Well why are you bothered they moved. 2. Cassidy going from SNL to SNL ..Development ?? 3. Players move teams all the time, I don't see a mass exodus to other teams. Won't bother with a sarcastic ending

Do yourself a little reading about what the Caps and Martin Cingel are trying to do with the SNL Caps side. 3. This is all to do with another users post about the Kestrels best prospects being linked away.

KIHC once again is back with some of the best talent in their age groups no doubt. But when the ceiling is playing against other talented youngsters, not men, in the Kestrels and the rest of the SNL, the jump to Elite will pass them by very quickly.
Caps can hope to do whatever they want with the SNL team, but when the best players are just young boys, not particularly phyiscal, skillful, quite speedy, it's all the problems we have with the current Flyers team whcih is not working in the elite.
As others have said there should be a conserted effort to have a transition at Fife the way other teams do, SNL and the way KIHC train are not the answer. There are boys away in Canada the now who's training will be light years ahead of KIHC's going end to end solo efforts for the few, which again does not work in Elite.
I have seen it first hand. If the Flyers had a proper club head coach who had influence over junior development, the way football clubs are run, with the party line coming from the top, we would have real contenders. Keeping a hold of them is another story!

I would bring back Todd, I love the way he gets the team going from the bench, His systems and player selection are first class, love his interviews also, canni wait until after a game so I can hear his wisdom.

After last nights beating at home by the Caps, historically the perennial worst team in the league, maybe we don't want any of these players back.

I would bring todd back, only so much a coach can do. Last week we comfortably beat the 2nd best team in the league. Cant blame him for players not working hard

I think we need a change of coach, six years in and have we improved at all?
Although this season has been our best in terms of league position, might not end that way though, it has been probably the worst in terms of performance, a horrible style of hockey played that simply bores the crowd for much of the time. Just read stirlings posts, he's sick of it, I'm sick of it, it's time for a change of coach, someone with new ideas, who can put a spark back in the team and get the crowd fired up.
TD has been around Fife for a long time but everything must come to an end at some point, I hope for a change for next season.
