DEL NHL AHL EIHL ECHL LIIGA leagues our imports have played in before landing in Fife.
77 Imports have played for us in the EIHL are they all at fault, 6 different squads yet the same problems always come up. The only consistent thing is Todd.
Just take our squad this season we went older so we had the experience so this not trying or players not following systems etc wouldn't happen. Its worked well eh.
Our could it possibly be that our coach just isn't up to being a head coach in this league. The examples of him getting it wrong have been seen and discussed time and time again. Ranging from in game tactics, recruiting the wrong mix of players, not making changes when it clear to everybody its needed.
We are still running a holiday camp for players thats obvious, Caps were sharper fitter and ready to battle for every puck last night we had guys already on the beach yet not one of them including the guys Todd was calling out after the game will miss a shift. There is no pressure on players to perform at the Flyers.
Sorry but Todd has over stayed his welcome by 2 seasons continuing with him for next season would be criminal. Hutchy isnt the answer either.
Bottom of the conference with 5 games to go- target was to win it we will have our lowest point total ever.
Out the cup at the group stage- target was semi final.
league position possibly the same as last but thats under threat as is our playoff place.
Only 2 things have stopped this being an utter disaster this season Dingle and Owen.

He has 6 full seasons behind him very shortly i think he has had more than a fair chance and here is a question, If he were not at Flyers next season which other EIHL team would grab him .....Imo.....Nobody.

I don't think he would. We must have a bigger budget than Caps or Dundee and we certainly haven't out performed them over the years.
I can't see things changing anyway, Todd's in with the bricks, but what we need to take a step forward is a change of coach, six seasons with no apparent improvements made, no silverware, nothing.
Todd is the Arsene Wenger of the hockey world, lol!

He has consistently proved he is not up to the task in this league, if the Flyers want to compete in it that is. That seems to be the moot point. Do the Flyers really have any ambition whatsoever?

Bobdee I think your more like Dad dee cos nobody else would fight Todd's corner like you do, nobody on this forum wishes Todd any ill but perhaps someone with more pep about them could turn this ship around because it's not going in the right direction at the moment and to cap it all off (excuse the pun) he shoots himself in both feet with every interview when he states the players do their own thing ......we have heard him say that for 6 years now, he is not strong enough to lead the charge I'm afraid.

Read my post correctly. I certainly am not sticking up for Todd, just the reverse. I was responding to a previous post which was lauding Todd. How that can happen is beyond me.

Folks just to clarify one of my points we have had 77 imports ice for us in total through the seasons, what i didn't think about was guys returning each year so we have actually only had 60 different imports in total.

Looking at his record as an EIHL Head Coach in league games alone he has won 124 games out of 308 - 40.3% winning record.
Take in all games cup, league, quarter finals, playoff games the record is 152 wins out of 374 games - 40.6% winning record.
We have never finished a season above .500
Don't care if anyone thinks he good great or awful thats a shocking record over 6 seasons.

I reckon I could have coached the Flyers better, and what do I know!

And more likely Todd would win the Premier league than Arsenes likely to again... We are the Everton of the league not the Chelsea

It's pretty much nailed on for Todd and Jeff to return next year so I would like to see an announcement sooner rather than later on that front and start planning for next year early for a change. Wishful thinking!
In terms of the team on who i'd like to see back:
Shane Owen - No chance he will be at Flyers next year but can live in hope.
Russ Moyer - I think Russ is a class act in defense who has been over worked this year.
Kyle Haines - Maybe not been his best year but Kyle is a good player who can move a puck.
Ryan Dingle - This signing is a must. He is the backbone of our team and a true franchise player.
Brendan Brooks - Had a slow start but he has been one of our best players this year. At 38 doesn't look like slowing down.
Matt Sisca - Been a frustrating player but can't deny his skill. If we can build a line around him we could see him hitting 60+ points easy.
Chase Schaber - Maybe not up there in points but he is a good player who's puck possession and hold up play is overlooked would keep him for 3rd.
Shayne Stockton - Really miss him this year on special teams, face-offs and scoring ability. If he's recovered i'd like to see him back.
Brit wise hearing rumours Gunn, Wilson and Muir thinking of packing it in. Keep Douglas, Wands and Scoon promote Chad Smith, Reece Cochrane and Marty Simpson up to full time deals. maybe even bring in one or two from else where.
Everyone else not too fussed about.

We hear rumours all the time of some Brits packing it in, none of them ever do.
