What is there 54 games in the league and a minimum of 6 games in the cup, 60 games in total with 30 of these home games. So we've lost 2 home games out of 30 which is a loss of less than 10% of the total not a massive loss considering the losses currently being experienced by many other companies who are being hammered by corona virus issues. I doubt Flyers will go under because of this.

They might not go under but I'd have thought they'd gladly accept any help after the gate losses throughout the season and our last big home games.
Even if it was only a couple of grand, it's a couple of grand they didn't otherwise have coming in in the off season. If it goes towards getting our boys home safe and keeping things less difficult financially, it's daft not to take whats on offer. Even if it helps cover refunds to those wanting one, it's one less thing to dent the budget.
Seriously, give me a job coordinating fundraising/volunteers and I'll do it well. I'm retired now so plenty spare time to fill, even more so with isolating. Head is bursting with ideas and ways of doing things, just need someone to say aye or naw to me doing them. Exactly where a fan liason would help too cause all these ideas would be getting to the right folk

Well I would think that following the loss of one if the largest gates of season v Clan, and the lack of crowds, that Flyers would jump at the offer of an extra cash to help. I've just donated to the Rovers one as I would have been going to east Fife game anyway. I'd be more than happy to do same with flyers, since I'd have went to Clan game with my son, and chips n curry sauce is a must! This is it, there's a lot of fans across social media willing to pitch in a bit here and there, so I don't know why they're not grabbing any offer of help there is. I thought about setting one up last off season, to do wee jobs like fixing the score board and towards bigger maintenance issues like the car park - didn't get round to it cause things went a bit Pete tong. Folk won't miss ten or twenty quid here and there over the off season when they'd be spending that at the games anyway You have to remember that some things are the responsibility of Fife Flyers whilst others are the responsibility of Fife Ice Arena

That's another good point, there needs to be way more communication/collaboration between the two and establish some clarity on who is responsible for what.
E. G. Who needs pestered to order some new bulbs, hire a cherry picker for an hour or 2 and get someone to fix the scoreboard?

I've been around the rink for plenty time to say you're farting in the wind trying to change the deep rooted "political" problems in it.

I find it bizarre that for the sake of a few, they'd prefer to continue running at a loss rather than try new things to improve it. Can only hope to be proved wrong.
Back on topic, totally get there's priorities right now - but no Facebook post for 5 days, no idea if the players have made it home, no updates on how things will be affected/plans to deal with it etc etc. All things that would take next to no time to proofread and post, and would be some much needed engagement with fans when folk are after any distraction. Even more ridiculous when folk are presumably working from home. No even officially in the off season yet, and we've already resumed normal off season communication levels.
Hope you guys are all staying safe!

23.3.2020 C-Day. It's a Lockdown, what a crazy dangerous time we find ourselves in.
If your a health worker or care worker or someone in a key job thank you for all you have done so far and everything you will need to do in the future.
If you are like me and find that the job you do actually doesn't matter a toss in the real scheme of things stay inside and follow the guidelines and I'll see you outside when this is over, how far away that is who knows.
Take care everyone.

You folk are doing a great job. ![(yes)](//storage.proboards.com/3536797/images/2Ag6VCkz9kNZgRvYfFZi.png) We can all help by doing our bit by staying indoors. Which can be very boring over time especially if you are on your own. (I am on day 11) But it needs to be done to beat this virus. Take care folks, where ever you are.

To be fair..folk getting paid off..childcare issues ..being gravely ill ..having elderly parents...Ice hockey and providing information is probably pretty low down the list of most folk just now.

Yeah as I said I totally get there's priorities. But loads of other businesses are still maintaining an online profile, it's not something that should be difficult or time consuming for the team responsible for "checking and posting" things. There's plenty in the fanbase want to know our boys are home safe, or what we can do to help facilitate that. And it's also about breaking up the doom and gloom, giving folk something positive amongst all the fear. Just my 2 cents. Again tho, give the job to people who are willing to provide regular content or reach out to others to do so.

perfectnightmare.
Welcome to the land of the lost. We were all duped into thinking a meeting with the fans would be a massive step in the right direction, even some of us that have been going for 40 years or more thought progress was going to happen but hey ho on the night it was all there for everybody to see ......we wasted our time. Two directors who's body language spoke volumes and the show compered by one of the most incompetent characters ever to be involved with the club. Who knows where we go from here.....it's certainly more uphill than where we started with a lot of fans likely to vote with their feet in the new season to come .....especially as TD & JH or still in charge......self destruct button pushed.

They must still be watching here, video post from livi thanking the fans etc and hoping folk stay safe. So if constructive moaning on here gets sh*t done, then wire in everybody 😂
